bio
Lenka Rayn H. is a Czech visual artist and photographer based in London.
Her work has been interchanging between portraiture, social documentary and self-expression studies.
Her portraiture is atmospheric, often dark without the intent of capturing sitters personally but recording the exchange between her and the sitter. Her photography sessions are moments of trust and self discovery.
Lenka's self-portrait studies serve as a record of her current moods, desires and they explore the relationship between her body and the environment she’s in. They are moments of total freedom of expression, honesty and play. Each session also becomes a new time capture of her body and mind in time.
She exhibits regularly in London and internationally and her work has been selected twice for the annual National Portrait Gallery Photography Prize.
One of her works has been acquired by St. George’s Hospital Charity as part of their permanent collection.
Her work is in private collections all over Europe.
